La Côl is the singer-songwriter project of Federica Col, born in her hometown of Como in 2018. Her music unfolds into an intimate universe shaped by life’s little things, warm atmospheres, poetry, dried flowers and long walks in nature.
Her songs travel through turquoise landscapes and Mediterranean flavours, weaving Italian and French into a single sonic tapestry. Like a citizen of nowhere, she describes Como as the city of her heart, Brussels as the city of her passions, and the rest of the world as a land to explore without a compass.
La Côl’s musical influences draw on the echoes of artists from the past, such as Battisti, Françoise Hardy, Giuni Russo and Nick Drake, alongside contemporary Italian and international voices such as Laura Marling, Maro, Pomme, Hindi Zahra and Levante.
